Common Questions:

Q. What is counselling and how can it help me?

A. Counselling is a way of taking some time out and talking with someone who supports and encourages you to think and feel as you have perhaps never done before. Without judging you, the counsellor helps you to get in touch with your deepest feelings, in a safe and supportive environment.

Q. Does it involve any prescription drugs?

A. Counselling is a 'talking therapy'. Sometimes clients may need to have prescription medicines, and if so, they are signposted to General Practitioners within the NHS.

Q. What appointments are available?

A. Appointments are arranged normally by phone. Evening and weekend appointments are available - just ask, and we can arrange a convenient time to meet.

Q. Where do counselling and coaching appointments take place?

A. We have seen people in a range of community venues including community centres, churches, children's centres and I currently hold surgeries in Armthorpe and central Doncaster. Home visits may be available in certain cases, but a small premium applies.

Q. Who do we work with?

A. Anyone who wants to find a way of achieving even more success or regaining some balance in their life. We have worked successfully with young people of both sexes, mature men and ladies and people of various ethnic minorities.  We also support people who are struggling to get on with their lives in a positive or fruitful way.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. We have a standard rate of £45 per 50 minute counselling session. However, we also operate a sliding scale. This means the more you earn, the more we will ask you to pay. This helps to support those who cannot afford to pay.

Coaching costs are available upon request.

Training costs are quoted individually, depending upon the brief.
